Registration FAQ

How do I register for a RowAmerica Program?

All registration must be done online by clicking on the appropriate program under the REGISTER tab and following the instructions. Registration is managed by RegattaCentral, a third party vendor. To complete your registration, you will need to establish a RegattaCentral username and password, which you can use to retrieve payment information and order history. This ID will also enable RegattaCentral to provide you with email receipts of all transactions, and you may use this ID for future program registration. You will not be charged an additional transaction fee when paying by credit card.

What payment methods are accepted?

RegattaCentral accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover and PayPal. We do not accept check or cash payments for transactions. All payments are due on the first day of programming.

Do you have a refund policy?

If you withdraw from seasonal programming prior to the start date you will receive a full refund minus a $75 processing fee. RowAmerica does not offer refunds for programming cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. RowAmerica will not refund participant fees for withdrawal from programs except in the case of serious medical conditions or injury that have been confirmed in writing by a physician. If a refund is approved, a check will be issued in the name of the RegattaCentral account holder. All refunds will be assessed a $75 processing fee.

RowAmerica will honor, on a case-by-case basis, requests for enrollment changes that occur mid-season. Account holders will be assessed a $75 processing fee for each change in addition to any net payments due for programming. A prorated program change must be approved by the Director of Rowing, and a $75 processing fee will be assessed.

The program I am registering for is full. What should I do?

Many of our programs are extremely popular and fill up quickly! Registration for the coming season is posted 1-2months in advance of the starting date. Some programs will offer a waitlist option on RegattaCentral. If this is the case, please register on the waitlist and you will be contacted when a space becomes available. If no waitlist is offered, please contact the Club Director.

Is there an adult annual membership?

Every adult involved in programming has a membership that season and can access the boathouse outside of practices. If you are interested in utilizing the facility and equipment and not joining a coached program, you can register for the Adult Seasonal Membership. This gives you access to indoor equipment and club boats for those who complete a proficiency test and review all USRowing and RowAmerica Greenwich safety procedures.

What extra fees will I be responsible for if I participate in a Racing Team program?

The Youth Racing Team registration includes entry fees and coaching & trailering fees for all regularly scheduled regattas except special, invitation-only regattas such as the Head of the Charles and National-level regattas. Youth will be responsible for covering their own expenses related to attending a regatta, including transportation, food & lodging.

Adult Racing Team registrations do not include entry fees, coaching fees and trailering fees for regattas. Adults will be responsible for their proportional share of entry fees, trailering fees and coaching fees for each regatta. An estimate of each event’s expenses will be shared with participants prior to registration. Invoices will be distributed for payment within one week following the event date. Adults will also be responsible for their transportation, food and lodging.
