Doug Fishkin

Head Coach - King School

Doug began his rowing career in high school in 1975 and by the time he graduated was the New York State Champion in the double and single sculls. Recruited by Rutgers University and was a member of their first National Championship team boat, sitting bow seat in the Varsity 8+. After college Doug moved to Atlanta for work, continuing to row and train at the Atlanta Rowing Club winning two Southeast US Championships in the single and double. He remained a devoted competitor,  training for and competing in the 1984 Olympic Single Trials where he finished 10th. That year Doug represented the United States in the 1984 Maccabiah Games winning Gold medals in the Double Sculls, Pair with coxswain as well as Silver in the Quad.

Since retuning to the northeast, Doug has continued to remain active in the rowing community by devoting his skills and knowledge to the RowAmerica Greenwich coaching staff, where he enjoys working with the Youth Intro and Development groups.
